Hotel Clearance FAQs
Find out how we scope projects, plan around operating hotels and handle clearance and disposal responsibly.
Can you clear an entire hotel?
Yes. We can discuss whole-building projects, floor-by-floor programmes and phased clearances. We assess the volume of FF&E, access, labour, vehicle requirements and your deadline before agreeing a programme.
Do you offer hotel clearance across the UK?
We are based in Sheffield and discuss projects across the UK, including Yorkshire, the Midlands, the North West and London. Availability, access and logistics are confirmed at quotation stage.
Can you clear a hotel while it remains open?
Where the site and scope allow, we can plan works in phases around guest movements, lifts, service routes and quieter periods. A site-specific method and schedule would be agreed first.
What furniture can you remove?
Typical FF&E includes beds, mattresses, wardrobes, desks, chairs, sofas, tables and loose fittings. Please flag built-in items, electrical appliances or specialist equipment so the removal method and any required competent trades can be assessed.
What happens to unwanted hotel furniture?
We discuss what can be retained, resold, reused, donated or recycled. Items that become waste are handled using appropriate authorised facilities and relevant transfer documentation; particular routes depend on condition and local outlets.
Can you remove carpets, curtains and fittings?
We can price appropriate non-structural removals. Work involving live services, structural elements, asbestos or other hazardous materials needs a separate assessment and, where required, suitably qualified specialists.
Can you help refurbish the hotel afterwards?
Yes. We can introduce our associated business, Ravenhill Contractors Ltd, to discuss decorating, plastering, joinery, tiling, flooring and managed refurbishment works under a separate scope and quotation.
What information helps you quote accurately?
The hotel location, room count, photographs or inventories, access details, lift sizes, parking/loading facilities, trading status and planned dates are especially useful. We can then advise whether a site visit is needed.
Do you supply waste transfer documentation?
For waste collections we can discuss appropriate transfer records and disposal arrangements relevant to the waste streams and service agreed. Please tell us any site-specific reporting requirements at quotation stage.
Do you undertake emergency or short-notice clearances?
Please call with your deadline. We will check the scope, crew capacity, transport and disposal arrangements before confirming whether a short-notice programme is realistic.
